Project Overview:
Situated in the strategic location of the Khalifa Bin Salman Terminal Port Basin, the Bahrain Steel Reclamation project is poised to significantly enhance the operational capacity of one of the leading steel producers in the Middle East. This project involves an extensive 37-hectare land reclamation from the seabed, tailored to support the expansion of the existing storage yard.
Project Details:
•Construction and Infrastructure: The reclamation will include the installation of 1.15 kilometers of rock revetment edge protection and the construction of foundations for future dust-suppression barriers, ensuring a robust and sustainable expansion.
•Environmental and Regulatory Compliance: Prior to commencement, extensive site investigations were conducted and all necessary permits were secured, affirming compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
•Advisory and Supervision: Six Marine’s John Barnes played a crucial role as the Client’s special advisor, providing expert guidance throughout the tendering process and ensuring project alignment with the client’s strategic goals.
